This year, entrepreneurs from the cultural and creative industries will once again have the opportunity to apply for the Kultur- und Kreativpilot*innen Deutschland award. This is determined annually by the
Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection (BMWK) and the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media awarded 32 outstanding projects, initiatives and business models. The award honors entrepreneurs whose innovative drive harnesses the transformative power of the cultural and creative industries to solve and address social and economic challenges. The application period ends on August 14, 2023

The significance of the award for the industries and individuals is emphasized by Julian Römer, Managing Director of u-institut and Project Manager for the Cultural and Creative Pilots Germany: “The cultural and creative industries stand for cross-industry innovative strength, dynamic transformation processes and progressive creative will. The 32 title holders demonstrate this in a special way, because they are working on outstanding solutions to concrete challenges that have an impact on all of us living together and on our future. With our one-year, tailored mentoring program, we support them in further developing their entrepreneurial projects and establishing them sustainably on the market.”

Network for entrepreneurs

At the same time, they become an active part of inotiv, one of the largest networks of experts and successful female founders from the industry. For 13 years now, the German government has been awarding prizes to exceptional projects from the cultural and creative industries. More than 400 alumni companies and a jury of experts already belong to the network and contribute to the fact that inotiv has grown into an extraordinary and innovative network.

A comprehensive trend analysis will also be produced from all the applications received. As in 2021 and 2022, this will once again paint a clear picture of the creative industries as a transformation laboratory for society and highlight the industry’s enormous potential for the future. Applications are open until August 14, 2023 at: www.kultur-kreativpiloten.de
