Of power images and morning rituals
Our everyday life consists to a large extent of habits, that we unconsciously practise and string together until they become a whole day. Some of these habits are proven to be useful and beneficial, like brushing your teeth, going for a walk, eating a salad and so on.
There are also annoying habits that hinder our development or are even harmful to us. The interesting thing is that we usually know ourselves which ones they are.
The majority of our habits probably have a neutral or at least or at least not explicitly harmful to us. And there is great potential here, that we can utilise to develop ourselves.
Why should we do this? Why create? Why develop? This is where the wheat is separated from the chaff, this is where the difference is made.
We need habits that strengthen us
If we want to be and remain happy, then we need habits that support this. If we want to go through life with inner stability and serenity, then we need habits that help us to do so. If we want to defy the crises that have shaken us for years, then we need habits that strengthen us.
I have been a coach and counsellor for 20 years now and have worked a lot on the inner and outer inner and outer development of people, primarily, by focussing on myself, to try out new things again and again.
Today, my everyday life is characterised by a few valuable rituals: My morning ritual , morning meditation and a few rituals that help me to organise myself well. I am what I live and do every day. Everything else is fiction.
My personalised power picture is also part of this. I look forward to looking at it every morning , I look forward to looking at it every morning and am always excited to see what it will tell me. Only then do I go about my day and feel ready to face its challenges.
I wish you much joy in life, every day. (Carsten Hokema)
