WHO ARE YOU? WHAT DO YOU DO?

Hello, my name is Katrin. Originally I come from a small town in Brandenburg. I lived in Berlin for a few years and am now back in beautiful Brandenburg, in Nauen. After various permanent positions, I work as a graphic designer in a concept store, that sells high-quality children’s toys.
My favourite hobby is photography, and I have managed to turn this hobby into a profession. I work part-time as a daycare centre and family photographer with a focus on natural outdoor shots. My style is authentic and candid – I love capturing real moments!

What are your goals for the next few years?

Over the next few years, I would like to reduce my hours in my main job, to have more time for photography. My goal is to be creative and flexible in this area. In the long term, I aim to to become completely self-employed as a passionate photographer and make a living from my art. I want to capture authentic moments and touch people with my photography.

Capturingthe authentic and lively.

Wie bist du zur Selbstständigkeit gekommen?

I came to this after working in a traditional photo studio for some time. There, the monochrome backgrounds and posed shots never really appealed to me. I wanted to capture something authentic and lively. That’s why I made the decision last year, to set up my own business and photograph nature. This freedom to capture real moments in nature, fulfils me and lets me live out my creativity. Have a look >> https://wiesenwicht-fotografie.de/

WHAT HAVE BEEN YOUR BIGGEST CHALLENGES SO FAR AND HOW HAVE YOU OVERCOME THEM
?

One of my biggest challenges is not to get lost in the small details. I often want to make everything perfect, which means that my website is still under construction, that my website is still under construction. I am currently working on this challenge.

HOW DO YOU MOTIVATE YOURSELF WHEN THINGS AREN ‘T GOING SO WELL?

When things aren’t going so well , I find motivation above all in dialogue with other photographers. The network of photographers inspires me and gives me new perspectives. We support each other, which is very helpful in difficult times.

WHAT IS YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS?

My recipe for success is, always keeping my goals in mind and regularly realising, that mistakes are part of the learning process, especially at the beginning. It is important not to be discouraged, but to learn from these experiences. I also think it’ s important to continue your education on a regular basis.

Structure of my corporate design

TO WHAT EXTENT DID THE START-UP COACHING WITH US HELP YOU ?

The start-up coaching provided excellent support for my entry into self-employment. It helped me in numerous areas that came my way. It was particularly helpful in helping me to develop my corporate design. I also gained valuable experience in developing a marketing strategy and I also gained valuable experience indeveloping a marketing strategy and setting goals. Thanks to the coaching , I felt better prepared and more confident in my entrepreneurial activities.

WAS THE LAST THING YOU SAID YOU WANTED TO SAY?

The most valuable thing I have taken with me is, setting clear goals and making a plan to achieve them.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO OTHER PEOPLE WHO ARE THINKING ABOUT DOING THEIR
“OWN THING” ?

If you’re thinking about doing your ” own thing”, ask yourself this question:
”What ‘s the worst that could happen?” Well, do you notice anything… ? It’s not that bad , is it? 🙂

YOU HAVE ONE WISH FREE. WHAT DO YOU WANT FOR THE FUTURE?

If I had one wish for the future, I wish that everyone has the chance to realise their dreams to realise their dreams and to live in an environment that supports them in doing so.

Dear Katrin, thank you very much for the interview.
