How much entrepreneur do you have in you?

Entrepreneurship Summit 2018

As has already been noted here several times, we are still far from a start-up boom in Germany this year. The numbers are stagnating and only a few are still prepared to start a company at their own risk. Yet, if you believe Günter Faltin, there is an entrepreneur in every one of us.

Günter Faltin is probably known to everyone who is involved in start-up issues. Faltin is an entrepreneur, founder of the tea campaign and the component portal. In “Wir sind das Kapital” (We are the capital), he further develops his start-up theory already known from “Kopf schlägt Kapital” (Head beats capital) and explores the question of what contribution we all, and not just a few specialists, can make to the topic of innovative entrepreneurship. For those who want to delve deeper into this, not only these books are available, but also the Entrepreneurship Summit every year.

“We have the chance to build a better world. More loving, funnier, more sensitive and more artistic than has ever been possible before. But to do that, we have to get in the ring ourselves, get it going ourselves, undertake it ourselves. Not leave it to the mere profit maximizers.” This is the blurb on the book, and even though the book has been on the market for a few years, these sentences run like a motto through the work of the Entrepreneurship Foundation.

He wants to incite us to a personal revolution. To more commitment – one that goes far beyond signing petitions on the Internet. And he also shows how it can work. Describes his method for starting a business with the help of individual components. His call to the entrepreneur in us is: We must become active ourselves. As entrepreneurs, as artists, as frugal but future-oriented actors.

At the Summit itself, which will take place in Berlin on October 22/23, it’s not just about listening, but also about getting involved. Countless workshops will help you to quickly put what you have learned into practice. You can pitch your start-up ideas to experienced female founders and receive valuable feedback. Over 100 speakers will pass on their knowledge to you: from founders for founders. The Entrepreneurship Summit is the starting signal for an exciting start-up adventure.

We from .garage Berlin will be there again this year. Carsten Hokema from our team will be moderating a workshop on Saturday from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. that will focus on startups in the education sector. Also present: guests from the companies Colibri and Talking Hands. Both approach topics in a special way that have already been conventionally occupied for many years. Colibri is a language learning platform, Talking Hands develops and distributes learning media of a special kind: flipbooks. Let us surprise you.
