Your area of specialization:
Accounting and tax law
Career:
With tax law fascinating me during my studies, and my personal ambition, my drive to become a tax consultant was born – My first professional steps were in sales tax, at two of the four biggest auditing firms worldwide – by the way, sales tax is still my favorite type of tax. After the tax consultant exam, few stop-overs in companies, several years of employment as a tax consultant with 5 small children at hand, the time had come for my own self-employment. Here I am at .garage after 3 years – although no longer as a tax consultant 😉 – after being a client of .garage myself, with at the time not much knowledge about logo design, marketing, SEO, etc..
Your “signature” as a coach:
Keep it simple.
What do you like most about your work at .garage?
Tax law is insanely extensive and can be incredibly complicated for outsiders. My coaching is designed to provide essential knowledge that start-ups need to launch their business model without external support, and make their accounting/taxes selfsufficient.
What should not be missing on your perfect day?
Cake for breakfast, time with family, a book in hand & creativity.
Your favorite quote:
„One can never have enough socks“ by Albus Dumbledore, Harry Potter and the philosopher´s stone
What distinguishes you as a person (in 3 words):
Organization with laissez-faire (you can only say this with 4 words) 😉
Your favorite place:
On a bike
What advice do you give to your coachees?
Focus on your core competencies. If tax law is not one of them and you can afford it, have the accounting/taxes done externally and keep an eye on your company’s key numbers on the side.
